Job Description
We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to ensure the optimal performance of our client’s on-premise environments while also developing and deploying microservices architecture using Docker orchestration tools. This role is pivotal in maintaining system reliability and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions. (modify if necessary)
Responsibilities:
- Working with DevOps team, to setup Insightful in customer-specific environments
- Working with Customer Support and Success teams in communication with clients and their demands
- Assisting DevOps team in cloud infrastructure management
- Working with DevOps teams to identify and improve processes and infrastructure
Requirements:
- Degree from a technical university
- At least 1 year of experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS or Debian)
- Basic experience with Docker
- Knowledge and understanding of networking like VPN, DNS, Firewalls
- Experience with load balancing (Nginx/Apache or similar)
- Basic experience with bash scripting
- Basic experience with VMware/HyperV technologies
- Basic experience with SQL databases
- Basic Windows administration experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, and wish to learn new technologies
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HTTP REST API driven architectures
- Communication skills for technical and architecture discussion
- Fluency in English
Experience with the following will be considered a big plus:
- Atlassian JIRA and Atlassian Confluence experience
- Source code management tool experience like Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github
- Experience with noSQL databases like Elasticsearch and MongoDB
- Working experience with Google Cloud or some other cloud providers
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
